In Zambia!

[Written Tuesday 9pm (Zambia time)]

We arrived in Lusaka, Zambia late this afternoon after another (less pleasant) Ethiopian Air flight. It was a smaller plane, in that the seat in front of you was only 3-4 inches away...tight squeeze! It was a 6 hour flight that included a questionable chicken meal and a quick stop in Zimbabwe.

Once we got settled at the guest house, we went to dinner at a great restaurant our van driver suggested. Probably the last decent meal for a while...

Dell ordered Sushi...

Dad ordered steak...

The 4 ladies again!

We're headed on an even smaller flight tomorrow to northern Zambia. This is the one where the 33 pounds each comes into play...

Guess who didn't realize her Typhoid vaccine was good for only 2 years? Yep, me. Last shot was in 2004. Somehow, I thought it was 10 years like most other vaccines. And, I didn't realize this until we got to DC Monday morning. Luckily, through connections in Zambia, someone was able to go pick it up from a local pharmacy and dad gave it to me tonight. Hopefully it will take effect quickly!

Better try and get some sleep... Please continue to pray for safe travels, health for our team, and for our hearts as we prepare to do the work we were called to. Excited to see our M friends tomorrow!
